I’ve been to the Heights, Bellaire, and Sugar Land locations, and out of all of them, this location has definitely been the best in terms of freshness, quality, and service. We came on a Sunday after church and were surprised that it wasn’t nearly as packed as we expected! We got our usual order which is the crispy chicken, dry pot fish, green beans, and baby bok choy. Everything came out fresh, hot, and so good. The portions were also really generous and we ended up having plenty of leftovers to take home. Definitely one of our favorite locations!

Solid Sichuan food - will be back Ordered three dishes last night: Golden Soup Beef, shredded pork with dried tofu, and celery sole fillet. The shredded pork and the fish were both excellent - really authentic Chinese flavors, well seasoned and cooked just right. The Golden Soup Beef had a good broth, but the fried bean curd sticks in it were clearly not soaked long enough before cooking - they were super tough and chewy. I mentioned it to the server, and they were nice enough to bring us some extra, but those were still under-soaked too. Hopefully they can tweak that prep step. Place was pretty busy, so the staff were running around, but still friendly and attentive. Overall vibe was lively and comfortable. Flavor-wise, this is one of the better authentic Chinese spots in the Katy Asia Town area. That one dish aside, I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back again.

The food is splendid. I travel to many restaurants like this one to have the salt n pepper ribs and garlic spinach. This place does not disappoint.The atmosphere is great. The menu is very extensive with a wide variety of flavorful food. I recommend eating here💯

I wouldn't order most dishes here. I now know to stick with only three items: (1) boiled fish, (2) boiled beef, and (3) stir fried garlic snow pea leaves (it's not the best snow pea leaves in Houston, but it will do as the restaurant is close to where we live). However, even that, things could go wrong. When I very recently placed an order online and asked for the boiled fish and beef to be less spicy than the default spicy level (see pic, "not too spicy please"), they ended up not putting any spice in those two dishes 😞 In the past, the garlic marinated pork/bacon had a foul smell and was tough to chew - it was sent back (I rarely send things back). Additionally, the size of the popcorn chicken was a joke - they should be called leftover chicken bits. Even Kim's Teahouse has juicier, bigger, and better popcorn chicken. In general, I would avoid pork related dishes here, because none of them were tender enough. 螞蟻上樹was also very disappointing. My grandmother was from Sichuan and grandfather was from Chongqing, so I cannot be easily fooled 😅 The service was inconsistent. However, they do want to do right by you when something is not right or when you need something.

The food was delicious and came out fast! Cathy was our waiter for the night and she was so sweet and even gave us envelopes for the lunar new year! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for great mala flavor and fast service
